THE COURT HOUSE PT. I – GREAT ROOM & KITCHEN
March 15, 2024
If you've been following us on Instagram, then you know this project has been in the works since the verrrrry beginning. We loved watching this beautiful home come together and cannot wait to share it with you FINALLY!
Because this home sits on a hillside lot with breathtaking mountain views, this project was all about bringing the outdoors in. We incorporated Indian Ledge Stone and reclaimed wood to mirror the mountain landscape and create an elevated, earthy feel inside.
Come on in. We have lots to show ya!
Bringing The Outdoors In
Upon entering the home, you are immediately greeted by these insane mountain views. One of our goals with this home was to let these panoramic vistas act as the artwork for the home and let the design support the beauty of the natural landscape.
One of the most interesting design elements of this project is the juxtaposition between the use of natural, earthy materials and the angular, modern architecture, which really establishes the home's organic modern foundations.
Allll About The Stone
Keeping to the organic modern theme of this space, we wanted this chef's kitchen to feel clean, simple, and sophisticated in order to let the natural stone slab do the talking.
This "Silk" Quartzite from Italia Granite has had us in a chokehold since day one. It has lots of gorgeous movement and veining throughout but is still clean enough for modern applications.
In It For The Cool Light Fixtures
We are always here for a unique light fixture. When it came to this open-concept dining room, we wanted the furniture to be a sleek and sophisticated extension of the kitchen design. We then elevated the space by adding this stunning Rivage Chandelier. Translucent calcite gives the piece a warm, natural glow—which is so much more incredible in person; these pictures don't do it justice!
Refined and polished design doesn't need to be loud. It just needs to be interesting. And we think with the addition of this light fixture, we accomplished just that.
Pretty Pretty Powder Room
Just off of the main living area and entry, you'll find this pretty pretty powder bathroom. We kept the design here pretty simple and let these natural textures and materials do the talking. Because mother nature is always, ALWAYS, the best designer.
This softly shaped bronze mirror has an elegant yet organic feel, which is perfect for this home. We love how these alabaster Covet Bath Sconces tie into the backlit calcite chandelier above the dining table and other themes seen throughout the home (we have something special that we can't wait to show you!).
That's all for now! Stay tuned for a new photo tour next week, and follow us on Instagram for more content from The Court House!
Happy Friday!
