THE COURT HOUSE PT. II – THE PRIMARY SUITE
March 20, 2024
Hello again, and welcome to the Primary Suite!
The goal for this space was to create a super restorative and cozy bedroom that was sleek and modern enough to feel cohesive with the rest of the home.
We ended up going with a beautifully warm color palette of ivory, brown, gray, and dark walnut wood paneling. We love how organic and earthy this color palette feels in contrast to the modern architecture and forms sharing the space.
Bringing The Outdoors In
Similar to the great room, the focal point of this bedroom has to be its stunning panoramic views. We love how the color palette of this room will melt and blend beautifully into those mountain views (especially during the summer and autumn months.)
One of the best ways to bring the outdoors in when designing a space is to find ways to incorporate lots of texture. This is why we selected an organic grasscloth wallcovering for the headboard wall in this primary suite. Very rarely will you find a perfectly smooth surface out in nature, so if you are trying to mirror the landscape in your home, we will always recommend adding something earthy, like a grasscloth wallpaper, to add a little depth, interest, and texture.
Lincoln Beige For Daysssss
In this primary bathroom, you can see that we brought in the same marble we used on the fireplace. We love this Lincoln Beige marble and decided to hone it in order to preserve its natural and organic feel.
A lot of times, clients feel hesitant to use the same material throughout an entire space, but we love it because it feels elegant and effortless—like you aren't trying too hard. We used this marble on the fireplace, floors, countertops, and entire shower. The final result was a super sleek, sophisticated, and modern bathroom that we're completely obsessed with.
