May Musings
May 1, 2024
It's May 1st! You know what that means!
This month's edition of "Monthly Musings" features the cutest outdoor umbrellas we've ever seen, parquet flooring, seasonal produce (with recipes, of course!), and some fun yellow paint inspo - because we could all use a little extra sunshine in our lives.
Looking forward to warmer, sunnier days ahead. Happy May!
A Splash Of Sunshine
Maybe we're just craving some serious rays after what feels like a never-ending winter here in Utah, but we are obsessing over these golden design moments. With the May sunshine coming out, we're tempted to saturate every room in the warmest, happiest shade of yellow possible.
In general, we've been loving bold paint colors lately - especially in unexpected spots (trim, doors, walkways, etc.) And love seeing design move in a more eclectic, individualistic direction.
Patio Preparations
Okay, it is still very much spring. But as soon as May rolls around, we like to begin our patio preparations for those lovely summer evenings.
We recently stumbled upon these STUNNER outdoor umbrellas and cannot stop thinking about them! We couldn't find a link, but if you're in the market for outdoor furniture upgrades, this is your reminder to start searching now so that when June rolls around you have everything you need to soak in those Summer rays.
Parquet Timeless Charm
As we said earlier, we love seeing design move in a more eclectic, individualistic direction. One way we're seeing this expressed is through some exceptional parquet flooring design. This is such an effective way to add character to your home as there are endless shapes and patterns you can create. We're currently working on a few different projects where we are incorporating some stunning parquet floor designs and we are SO excited to share them with you (Follow us on the 'gram.)
Eating With The Seasons
One thing we've loved about creating the monthly musing series is discovering all the produce that is in season that month. Eating in season ensures you're getting the most ripe, nutritionally dense food, and it can also cut down on your grocery bill!
Here are some May recipes using in-season produce that we're DYING to try.
