If you've been following us on Instagram, you may have already seen some tidbits from our new Bridge House project! If not, welcome. We can't wait to show you all that we're creating for this modern retreat.
Sleek. Minimal. Elevated. Organic.
These are some of the words guiding the design of this home. The phenomenal architecture by Upwall Design has also inspired the interior design direction.
Great Room + Hearth Room
The overall style of this project is organic modern, which will be clearly evident upon entering the home. Even though the design needs to be sleek and minimal, we're still finding ways to incorporate lots of organic materials, like the limestone fireplace hearth, wooden doors and wall paneling, and natural slabs.
While we're keeping the color palette neutral, we want to push the envelope with some really unique and striking furniture forms.
We're treating all the lighting like jewelry in this home. Each piece should be the cherry on top that elevates the space and adds a touch of elegant glam.
Kitchen + Bathroom Hard Finishes
Again, we're keeping all the finishes very sleek and minimal but organic. For example, the Taj Mahal quartzite slab we have selected for the kitchen. Which will fit the clean aesthetic of the home while adding some texture and dimension to the modern space.
Plaster walls throughout the home are another detail that will add some soft dimension to open spaces.
Home Offices
His and her offices make for a perfect 'work from home' situation. We're going light and airy in the wife's office, with some unique cabinetry designs behind the desk. The husband's study will pull more moody and masculine, with dark wood paneling and heavier furniture forms.
Closet Cabinetry
It's not often we're THIS excited about closets! In general, the cabinetry in this home will be amazing, but the closets especially should be a sight to behold. Two-toned cabinetry (high-gloss paint and walnut) in the master wardrobe, topped with a glam crystal chandelier, will make this space a complete dream.
The Man Cave
Upstairs we're keeping things light and airy, but going moody in the basement. The man cave, complete with a golf simulator and an F-1 simulator, will be a modern take on a traditional gentleman's club.
Bunk Room
We love a modern bunk room moment. This bunk room, with two queen beds on the bottom and two twin XL beds on top, will be clad in sleek white oak wood paneling.
